My mic won't work with Yahoo anymore since I bought a Vista computer. Anyone have a solution?
The mic I'm trying to use is just a little $10 deal from Wal-Mart, a CyberAcoustics MC - 1060. Also, Yahoo gives me a prompt saying my computer doesn't support the file compression format.

This was a VERY common issue, one that I also had difficulty with!
It has nothing to do with your mic and everything to do with Vista and Yahoo having a conflicting hardware codec.
To fix, simply go to Yahoo's messenger page and download Messenger version 9.
http://messenger.yahoo.com/
Version 9 seems to fix that error. I've now been able to hear and speak in Yahoo since the upgrade.
Let me know if that works, or I will research the issue further!
