CANON EOS 1DS MARK III VS EOS 1D MARK II?
I am interested buying a new camera and just wondering which one I should go with. The Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III is very $$$$ and if it is a way better camera than the Canon 1D Mark II then I would rather go with it. Im just wondering if the camera is a lot better or about the same?
I agree with the above answerer, but I would recommend even more extreme downgrade. Both cameras you are asking about cost multiple thousand dollars, and are targeted towards professionals whose paychecks rely on their equipment. If you don't personally know whether you need one or the other, then sorry to tell you, but you need neither. I have been on the sidelines at football games that ESPN broadcasts and have gotten great pictures that I needed for work with a Rebel XTi. I would recommend starting with this camera, as it will automate all of the functions for you, but will allow you to manually override specific settings, and then all settings, once you are ready to. Then, once you have experience, make your way to the 40D/50D, etc. and you will notice that you will be a much better photographer. If you get a camera above your skill level now, you are going to feel pretty bad when people with cameras 1/10 the value of yours are getting better pictures.
