How do the natives get the rope ladder across the really wide and deep canyon?
Somehow in the middle of nowhere there is a rope bridge that spans a really deep and wide canyon. Usually the rope begins to split right as the hero is halfway across the bridge and chased by natives or bad guys. How did they get the bridge across there in the first place?
The aliens helped them, of course.
No, just kidding!
I think the method usually used is to lasso something on the other side, send a few brave souls over, hand over hand, and then send ropes and pegs to anchor it and other necessary materials and tools across on the first "zip-line" rope. When the bridge is finished, the ones who went over to the other side have a much easier way back! This method also assures that a quality job will be done efficiently, since the guys on the other side won't want to stay over there for long.
