Is it worth buying Fujifilm fine pix s7000, the Nikon cool pix P80? and which is better from the two?
Please help, I am considering these two because I cannot afford a DSLR camera, and I want to know if one of these two are worth buying?
Also what are the pros and cons for both of them?
I need a really good camera that will let me capture artistic shots and artistic movies with great quality

S7000 has an APS-C sized sensor, same as many DSLRs and turns out 12mp images. I started with S5000, moved up to S7000 and eventually bought S3 Pro DSLR. I still have my S7000 and I think of it as my back-up camera. It has Macro and Super Macro functions which are useful to have. I also like the voice memo function, which allows you to add an audio clip to a photo. The only thing I don't like about it is the noticeable shutter lag, but that can be overcome by paying careful attention to your panning technique for action shots. Depth of field shots are OK too. You've got a Max aperture of F2.8 so you're alright there. You can also add a filter, though the manual advises using only one filter at a time. I assume this is to protect the auto-focus mechanism. I often use a circular polariser on mine. You may find that the minimum aperture of F8 is insufficient for photographing water without it burning out on "slow-flow" shots, but bung on a 10 stop ND filter and you're in business.
