I have an olympus X-42 digital camera that only takes 5 photos. I didn't buy a memory card thinking that the internal memory would be enough. Is it right that the camera only takes 5 photos or am I missing something?

You need a memory card, go for around 2gb, that will store loads of photos and won't cost very much at all, if you search online.
