Are standard camera memory cards compatible with Macs?
I don't have a digital camera, but I'm planning on getting one. I have borrowed my friend's camera, but her memory card--it's the standard size--doesn't fit in any slots in my computer. Does anyone know if I'm missing something from my computer (MacBook Pro), or if I have to get a special memory card/camera?
All standard memory cards are compatible with Macs, you just need to buy a USB reader to put the card into. You can find these online at sites like Amazon.com, or in electronics and camera stores.

You may find that you don't even need a reader when you buy a new camera, as it will most likely come with a USB cable to connect to your computer.
