Is it worth buying a "factory demo" camera off ebay for it's marked down price?

Being that it's factory demo, I know it will be used, however is it to big of a risk to take when buying off ebay? I don't know how much of a demo it was. If someone in the store was trying it out and messed something up internally....what are your thoughts?

I did a couple of years ago and I have been very satisfied. Check the sellers rating, his return policy, and if a warranty is provided. I usually try not to buy from any seller with less than a 99 percent rating. If I have to, I always check to see what other buyers are saying and, especially, what the dissatisfied buyers are saying. In many cases their issue was not the fault of the seller. There should be a return period long enough for you to try out the camera. No warranty, no buy! Keep in mind that, if you decide to buy, there is really good, and inexpensive, online insurance you can purchase just in case the camera craps out sometime down the road.
